OBC Case Study | 24 Urgent Parts from China to Mexico Door-to-Door
For manufacturers, urgent parts shipments often leave little room for delay. When critical components are ready for dispatch but conventional air freight cannot meet the required delivery schedule, the ability to arrange pickup, transportation, customs clearance, and final delivery within a short timeframe becomes essential to keeping the supply chain moving. Recently, Baiyue Logistics completed an OBC shipment of 24 parts from China to Mexico. The shipment was handled through a dedicated courier transportation solution, covering pickup, international air transportation, and final door-to-door delivery with a focus on speed and control throughout the process. An Urgent Parts Shipment Requiring a Faster Solution The shipment consisted of 24 parts that were scheduled to be ready at around 18:00 on September 7. The customer contacted Baiyue Logistics that afternoon with an urgent transportation requirement. Because the destination was in Mexico and the shipment was time-critical, a conventional international air freight solution could have introduced additional waiting time through booking, cargo handling, flight connections, and multiple handovers. For this shipment, the customer chose OBC transportation. OBC, or On Board Courier, uses a dedicated courier to personally accompany the shipment on passenger flights.
